Marks & Harrison was proud to sponsor the 7th Annual “WE CARE” Festival, one of the largest events in Northside, which was held at Hotchkiss Community Center. The festival brought community organizations, churches and businesses together to empower the Richmond community. WE CARE is an acronym that highlights Wellness, Education, Community Awareness and Resident Empowerment. The festival is sponsored by Marks & Harrison and the City of Richmond.
Richmond native and comedian Antoine Scott served as the host of the festival. The family-friendly event included health and wellness screenings, educational information, exhibits, and food vendors. Children’s activities included carnival games, inflatable moonwalks and basketball skills challenges, as well as school supply giveaways, music and entertainment. The 2013 festival also included a raffle for a seven-day, six-night vacation to Orlando, Fla.
