Take Justice Back is a new national campaign aimed at protecting and strengthening the fundamental American right to access the civil justice system.
I am proud to serve on the board promoting the campaign in Virginia.
Take Justice Back wants to accomplish the following:
- Educate people on how their rights may be threatened by corporate lobbyists and unfair laws. For example, some corporations lease government-owned facilities, such as a school, then try and take advantage of governmental immunities when someone who is injured tries to hold them accountable. This is true even when the corporations have private insurance policies to cover these injuries.
- Motivate Americans by sharing real stories of people denied justice through the Take Justice Back blog, Twitter, and Facebook.
- Give the public a voice by helping people share stories, send letters to Congress, and sign petitions.
