Vanessa E. Hicks has been practicing law for more than thirty years, offering legal representation with integrity and compassion.
Born and raised in Lunenburg County, VA, she is a graduate of Central of Lunenburg High School, where she found her passion for public speaking as a member of the Forensics Team.
Vanessa earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the College of William and Mary and her J.D. from Washington and Lee School of Law. While actively pursuing her degree in law she participated in one of the school’s Legal Aid Clinics providing legal representation for incarcerated women at the Federal Prison in Alderson, WV and further honed her public skills as a member of the Mock Trial Team.
She is a recipient of AVVO’s Client’s Choice Award, 2021 and in 2014 Vanessa was named by The National Trial Lawyers., as one of the year’s top 100 trial attorneys.
