For more than 35 years, the Brain Injury Association of Virginia (BIAV) has been the primary source of information and personal support for thousands of Virginians whose lives have been touched by a life-altering, often devastating injury. Through education, outreach, support, awareness and advocacy, the organization helps improve outcomes and quality of life for persons with brain injury and their families. BIAV envisions a world in which all preventable brain injuries are prevented; everyone who sustains a brain injury has an accurate, timely diagnosis, equal access to expert care, specialized rehabilitation, lifelong disease management and individualized services and supports; and families have access to services and supports so they and their loved ones can lead healthy, independent and satisfying lives.
BIAV relies on many people to help achieve their mission; among the people they count on is Bryan Meadows. Because of his personal and professional experiences, Bryan volunteered to serve on the BIAV Board in 2016; since 2018, he has served as Board Treasurer. He brings a unique perspective and a strong voice to his advocacy for those the organization serves, and he is committed to their goals to increase care and support for people with brain injury and their families, raise awareness of brain injury and help BIAV be a strong and effective organization.
