During National Hispanic Heritage Month, Genoveva Border, our Director of Spanish Services, participated in numerous events to celebrate the contributions of Latinos to the Commonwealth of Virginia. On September 28th, 2022, Genoveva attended a meeting hosted by Attorney General, Jason Miyares to discuss Hispanic Heritage and Entrepreneurship. Genoveva talked about how to help Latinos in VA access legal resources and be heard in front of judges. On October 11th, 2022, the Governor and First Lady of Virginia invited Latino leaders to a reception honoring Hispanic Heritage Month. On October 13th, 2022, Genoveva participated in a roundtable hosted by the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce which was led by Lieutenant Governor, Winsome Earle-Sears. Genoveva talked about issues affecting Latino women in the Commonwealth.
